This course introduces the essential principles of Health, Safety, and Environmental Management (HSE), designed to build a strong foundation for learners working in industrial, construction, and organizational environments.

It begins with an overview of HSE concepts and explains how health, safety, and environmental responsibilities are integrated into workplace operations. Learners are introduced to the importance of compliance with safety regulations and the role of effective management systems in reducing workplace risks and environmental impact.

The course covers Level 1–3 HSE fundamentals, focusing on hazard identification, risk awareness, and basic control measures. It explains how unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors can lead to incidents, and how proper safety planning can prevent them.

Key topics include workplace safety culture, environmental protection principles, and the importance of continuous improvement in safety performance. Learners also gain insight into how organizations develop and implement safety policies to protect employees, equipment, and the environment.

By the end of this part, participants will understand the core structure of HSE management systems and how they contribute to safer and more sustainable workplaces. This foundation prepares learners for more advanced HSE topics in later stages of the course.
