This course provides a complete overview of essential nursing clinical skills and physical health assessments required in real-world healthcare settings. Designed for nursing students, new graduates, and healthcare professionals, the course focuses on practical, hands-on skills used in daily patient care and clinical exams such as the NCLEX.
Learners will master head-to-toe physical assessments, including vital signs, pulse point palpation, respiratory assessment, and neurological reflex checks. The course also covers key maternal and newborn nursing skills such as pregnancy testing, urinalysis, newborn reflexes, infant vital signs, swaddling techniques, and preeclampsia assessments.
In addition, this course emphasizes patient mobility and safety by teaching proper use of assistive devices such as walkers, canes, and crutches, including gait patterns, stair navigation, and sit-to-stand techniques. Infection prevention is addressed through detailed demonstrations of PPE usage, including gloves, surgical masks, and N95 respirators.
Medication administration skills are also included, with step-by-step guidance on safely opening and administering medications from ampules. By the end of this course, learners will have a strong foundation in nursing clinical competencies, patient safety, and professional healthcare practices.
