Advanced communication techniques include register-level serial configuration and queue-based data handling for efficient transmission.

The course emphasizes software engineering for embedded systems, including structured design, testing methodologies, project management, and engineering ethics. State machines are explored in depth, including practical implementation strategies for reliable embedded applications.

Beyond software, the course introduces system engineering concepts, product-level design decisions, PCB design fundamentals, bill of materials (BOM) preparation, and hardware component selection.
