Job Description
- Develop detailed structural designs for a variety of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Perform structural analysis using advanced modeling software to assess the integrity and safety of proposed designs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, MEP engineers, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports for construction and tendering purposes.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues, providing technical guidance and innovative solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution and address technical queries.
- Ensure all structural designs adhere to local, national, and international building codes and regulations.
- Contribute to value engineering and sustainability initiatives to optimize project outcomes.
- Support the preparation of project documentation, including calculations, risk assessments, and quality assurance records.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
- 3 to 6 years of proven experience in structural design engineering within the construction or consultancy sector.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, Robot Structural Analysis, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations relevant to structural engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience collaborating in multidisciplinary environments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced office environment.
