Key Responsibilities:
1- Site Supervision & Consultant Representation
Act as the Consultant’s on-site representative for all electrical infrastructure activities.
Supervise daily construction and installation works for 22 kV OHTL, MV switchgear panels, and power transformers.
Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved scope, drawings, specifications, and method statements.
2- Construction Monitoring & Progress Control
Monitor daily site activities, manpower, equipment, and work sequencing.
Verify construction progress against the approved schedule and report any delays or constraints.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure smooth site execution.
3- Electrical Works Supervision
Supervise installation of 22 kV overhead lines including poles, foundations, stringing, sagging, and accessories.
Supervise installation, erection, and alignment of MV switchgear panels and associated auxiliaries.
Supervise transformer installation including foundations, positioning, oil filling (if applicable), earthing, and connections.
Ensure proper installation of earthing systems, cable terminations, and interface connections.
4- Quality Assurance & Technical Compliance
Verify that all materials and equipment delivered to site comply with approved technical submittals.
Witness inspections and tests
in coordination with QA/QC teams.
Identify non-conformities, issue site observations, and follow up on corrective actions.
5- HSE & Regulatory Compliance
Monitor contractor compliance with approved HSE plans and site safety procedures.
Report unsafe acts, conditions, and incidents to the Consultant’s Project Manager.
Ensure works comply with local regulations, utility requirements, and applicable electrical standards.
6- Testing, Commissioning & Energization Support
Witness pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning activities for MV switchgear, transformers, and OHTL.
Verify test results, checklists, and readiness for energization.
Support coordination with utilities and authorities during inspection and energization stages.
7- Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily site reports and contribute to weekly and monthly progress reports.=
Maintain site records including inspections, test reports, non-conformities, and correspondence
Review as-built drawings and support final documentation and handover activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Power Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in electrical infrastructure projects.
Proven experience in 22 kV OHTL, MV switchgear, and power transformer installation works.
Good command of English (reading/reporting).
