Your day involves operating and monitoring plant equipment through the DCS T3000, managing start-ups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting to ensure safe and efficient operations. It also includes responding to alarms, logging activities in SPPA-M3000, coordinating with maintenance teams, and working with colleagues to meet generation targets while maintaining safety standards.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Operate and monitor plant equipment (gas/steam turbines, HRSGs, generators) using the DCS T3000 system, ensuring compliance with SOPs for start-up, shutdown, and changeover.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies while ensuring safe, efficient plant operation and meeting generation targets.
- Utilize SPPA-M3000 for shift logs, fault notifications, work orders, and parts requisition, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinate with maintenance teams, and participate in Permit to Work (PTW) processes and safety drills.
- Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies, while actively suggesting and implementing improvements for efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with team members, participate in meetings, ensure smooth shift handovers, and engage in ongoing training initiatives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or power engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in combined cycle power plants preferred, though fresh graduates with relevant knowledge are encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of power plant operations, emergency decision-making, and maintenance of gas and steam turbines.
- Proficiency in leadership, problem-solving, and digital tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Effective communication, organizational, and planning abilities.
- Knowledge of gas and steam turbine maintenance processes and systems.
