Planning Engineer | Full-Time | Onsite | Construction Projects

On behalf of a reputable company, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to support project planning, scheduling, and progress control activities across construction projects. This is a full-time, onsite role offering hands-on involvement in project controls and delivery teams.
Role Overview
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, project milestones, and site progress. The role requires strong technical planning skills and close coordination with site and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in line with contract requirements and milestones
- Prepare and update project programs using Primavera P6
- Assist in resource loading for labor, equipment, and materials
- Monitor project progress and update schedules based on actual site performance
- Prepare and update S-Curves and progress reports
- Support the development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) aligned with the Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
- Participate in baseline program preparation and periodic progress comparisons
- Identify schedule variances, delays, and potential risks
- Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to collect accurate progress data
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly planning and performance reports
- Support delay analysis and claim preparation when required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- Proven experience in project planning and scheduling within construction projects
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite
- Good understanding of construction sequences and site activities
- Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills
- Ability to work effectively in an onsite project environment
