Job Summary:
The HSE Officer is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by implementing health, safety, and environmental policies. The role ensures compliance with legal requirements, company standards, and industry best practices to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses, and environmental incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Management
· Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
· Conduct routine site inspections and safety audits.
· Identify hazards and carry out risk assessments.
· Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Monitor compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Incident Management
· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
· Prepare detailed reports including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
· Maintain accident and incident records.
· Follow up to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Training & Awareness:
· Conduct HSE inductions form contractors.
· Organize and deliver toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
· Promote safety awareness campaigns.
Environmental Responsibilities:
· Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
· Monitor waste management and pollution control measures.
· Promote environmentally responsible practices.
Documentation & Compliance
· Maintain HSE documentation, records, and reports.
· Support internal and external audits.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Diploma or bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
· Professional certification such as OSHA, IOSH, or equivalent.
· 2-3 years of relevant experience (Clubs, Construction Sites or Factories).
· Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations and best practices.
· Good communication and report-writing skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
