Role Purpose:
- To ensure the units support the continuous improvement process to deliver sustainable and increased productivity.
- To ensure that all IE activities are maintained to recognised levels of best practice to deliver world class performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and support Kaizen and continuous improvement activities on the shop floor.
- Identify waste and improve processes using Lean and IE tools.
- Analyse key performance data (productivity, efficiency, OTIF, WIP) to support decisions.
- Improve workflows, layouts, and manpower utilization.
- Support problem solving and root cause analysis to close performance gaps.
- Ensure improvements follow safety standards and standard work.
- Lead and support Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost.
- Identify waste and improvement opportunities using Lean tools (VSM, 5S/6S, Standard Work, SMED, etc.).
- Facilitate continuous improvement workshops and cross-functional improvement projects.
- Analyse workflows and layouts to optimize manpower utilization, space, and material flow.
- Analyse operational KPIs including productivity, OTIF, efficiency, and WIP.
- Prepare performance reports and dashboards for management review.
- Support root cause analysis and development of corrective and preventive actions.
- Use data and analysis to support decision-making and improvement actions.
- Engage operators and supervisors in improvement activities and Kaizen events.
- Provide CI coaching and guidance to shopfloor teams.
- Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture within all improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional graduate Bsc in the area of industrial engineering/management or similar areas.
- Superior Communication abilities.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- From 0 to 2-year experience in a similar area.
- PC skills, especially in MS and spreadsheet applications.
- Knowledge or qualification in Lean Management Techniques.
