Noon, the region's leading consumer commerce platform. On December 12th, 2017, Noon launched its consumer platform in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, expanding to Egypt in February 2019. The noon ecosystem of services now includes marketplaces for food delivery, quick-commerce, fintech, and fashion. Noon is a work in progress; we’re six years in, but only 5% done. About the role

• We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to join noon’s product and design team in our Cairo office and play a critical role in shaping the future of our customer experiences across the Middle East.
• You’ll be responsible for setting design vision, owning end-to-end experiences across multiple verticals, and leading a team of designers to deliver world-class UX and UI at scale.
• You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, and business leaders to translate complex problems into elegant, intuitive solutions — while raising the bar for design quality across the organization.

P.S. While the role is based in Cairo, occasional travel to Dubai will be required.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of product design experience, with a strong focus on customer-facing web and mobile products, preferably in e-commerce or high-scale consumer platforms.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team of designers (5+), including mentorship, performance feedback, and career development.
• Strong ability to set design vision and strategy, while also being hands-on when needed.
• Exceptional UX, UI, and interaction design skills, with a deep understanding of end-to-end user journeys and systems thinking.
• Extremely high bar for UI finesse — strong command of layout, typography, color, spacing, motion, and micro-interactions.
• Demonstrated ability to own and drive design across multiple verticals or problem spaces simultaneously.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving priorities.
• Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools.
• Intrinsic interest in leveraging new tools (including AI) to improve design quality and team efficiency.
• A low-ego, high-ownership mindset with a passion for building strong, empowered teams.

Nice to haves

• Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally within e-commerce or marketplace products.
• Familiarity with motion design, interaction animation, or 3D tools such as After Effects, Illustrator, Blender, etc.
• Experience contributing to or evolving design systems at scale.

What you'll do? :

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of designers, fostering a culture of craft excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Own design outcomes across multiple product verticals, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with noon’s broader design vision.
• Define and drive end-to-end user experiences, from problem framing and concept exploration to final execution and launch.
• Partner closely with product managers to shape strategy, define problem statements, and prioritize impactful work.
• Work hand-in-hand with engineering and data teams to ensure feasibility, quality execution, and successful delivery.
• Set and uphold a high bar for UX, UI, and interaction design, reviewing work and providing clear, actionable feedback.
• Continuously evaluate shipped designs using data and qualitative insights, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
