Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Quality Control Engineer with more than 8 years of experience in construction and contracting companies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical works comply with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes. The role requires strong technical knowledge in inspection, testing, and quality assurance procedures across mechanical systems within construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain quality control procedures for all mechanical works on site.
Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Conduct site inspections and quality audits to verify installation of mechanical systems according to approved drawings and standards.
Prepare and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure proper documentation.
Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and site engineers to resolve quality-related issues.
Monitor installation of HVAC systems, plumbing, firefighting systems, and mechanical equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Ensure all works comply with international standards and project quality requirements.
Prepare quality reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective action plans.
Participate in material inspections and testing procedures before installation.
Support project teams during client and consultant inspections.
Maintain proper quality documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical quality control within construction or contracting companies.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in construction projects (HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting).
Experience with quality standards, inspection procedures, and documentation.
Familiarity with international codes and standards related to mechanical works.
Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project requirements.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
Knowledge of quality management systems and ISO standards.
Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.
