Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Technical Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all technical office activities across various disciplines including structural, piping, electrical, mechanical, and architectural. The role ensures design integrity, technical compliance, and seamless coordination between site execution teams and design/engineering departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the technical office team across all engineering disciplines.
- Review and validate design drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Coordinate and interface with departments including structural, piping, electrical, mechanical, and architectural to ensure design consistency.
- Liaise with consultants, client (Diriyah), and project management teams to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure timely preparation and approval of technical documentation (RFIs, submittals, method statements, as-built drawings, etc.).
- Oversee document control, technical reporting, and quality checks for all technical submissions.
- Support procurement and planning teams with technical inputs and BOQ validations.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical insights on project progress and challenges.
- Ensure compliance with FEMCO policies, safety regulations, and client standards.
Skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent).
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in technical office roles within construction.
- Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary coordination (structural, piping, electrical, etc.).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and other relevant engineering software.
- Familiarity with Saudi building codes, project specifications, and international standards.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience in mega-projects or with prestigious clients like Diriyah is a plus.
