Job Brief:
The Installation Engineer is responsible for overseeing the installation of electrical distribution systems including the MV/LV networks, electrical equipment and ensuring that all installations comply with industry standards and specifications.
Responsibilities of an Electrical Installation Senior Engineer:
- Plan and oversee installation process for MV/LV Networks required for distribution systems.
- Conducting the necessary technical on-site inspections and performing visits to determine the technical requirements.
- Determine the material taking off as per the site inspection and inline to the design drawings and specifications.
- Supervise contractors works ensuring that the installation is complying with the technical requirements and the related standards as per the time schedule.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and provide the technical solutions.
- Review the contractor’s invoices.
- Handing over the installation works to the O&M department for energization.
- Prepare installation reports, Inspection requests, material surveying and other technical documentation as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university.
- To have +5 years of experience in electrical Installation projects.
- A strong understanding of electrical theories, codes & standards of electrical systems.
- A strong understanding of electrical MV and LV network and systems installation practices.
- AutoCAD knowledge is a must.
- Previous experience in metering and protection systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
