Job Description
A detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects, responsible for ensuring all construction activities meet specified quality standards, project requirements, and applicable codes. The role involves inspection, documentation, and coordination with construction and design teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of quality processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project-specific Quality Control Plans (QCP) and Inspection Test Plans (ITP) for OHTL projects.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks for OHTL activities including tower foundation works, tower erection, conductor stringing, and accessories installation.
- Monitor material quality and
- ensure that all materials used are approved and conform to project specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, test results, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and consultants for inspection and testing schedules.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as IEC, IEEE, ISO, and client specifications.
- Supervise third-party inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and site acceptance tests (SAT).
- Prepare and submit QA/QC reports, inspection logs, and final quality documentation packages.
- Identify quality issues and recommend corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support internal and external audits, and ensure
- all quality documentation is up to date.
- Assist in training site personnel on QA/QC procedures and best practices.
Skills
- (Bachelor Degree in Engineering( Electricity or civil
- Experience at least 6 Years in Overhead Transmission Lines
- Familiar with international codes and standards related to transmission line projects.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC documentation, inspection techniques, and quality systems (ISO 9001).
- Certification in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor) is an advantage.
- Proficient in preparing reports and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in remote sites and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
