Job Description

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MEP design process from concept to construction stages.
• Review and validate design documents submitted by consultants and contractors (drawings, specifications, BOQs).
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, local authorities).
• Coordinate MEP designs with architectural and structural elements to avoid clashes.
• Liaise with internal departments (e.g., architecture, structure, procurement) and external stakeholders (consultants, contractors, authorities).
• Manage design deliverables schedule to align with overall project timeline.
• Conduct value engineering and ensure cost-effective design solutions.
• Provide technical input during tendering and construction phases.
• Support site team during implementation, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and resolving technical issues.

Skills

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Masters Degree or PMP certification is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in MEP design and coordination.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years in a design management or leadership role.
• Proven track record in large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP design principles and systems.
• Proficiency in MEP design tools (Revit MEP, Navisworks, etc.).
• Familiar with BIM workflows and coordination.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
