Responsibilities
- Reviews and approves discipline staffing assignment schedules on each project.
- Maintains appropriate staffing level, including temporary personnel, as needed.
- Reviews and approves staff forecasting reports.
- Monitors the quality and progress of the designs on each project, ensuring that production requirements are satisfied.
- Works closely with Project Managers to resolve any existing or forecasted problems related to discipline staffing, quality of work, schedule performance, or productivity.
- Establishes standards and procedures manuals for the discipline. Recommends improvements to department procedures.
- Supports pre-contract and business development efforts as required, serving as technical consultant.
- The technical manager will be guiding the design consultants on the regulations and policies to be followed, reviews the effort submitted by others (however liability remains with the design consultant or the PMC) and ensures that the design is in line with the requirements and budget in coordination with the commercial team and project management.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge on planning and design. Experience on mobility systems will be a plus.
- Proven technical leadership experience in development and implementation of large scale, complex Infrastructure projects.
- Excellent working knowledge using MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project and Powerpoint.
- More than 20 years of experience.
- Fluency in English. Fluency in Arabic is beneficial.
- Solid understanding in all phases of major infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to work in a customer facing/consulting environment
- Experience delivering projects through all phases of the lifecycle
- Strong analytical skills, creativity, and communication skills .
- Strong Presentation skills
- Strong understanding & experience in Sustainability and specifically the relationship between Smart and Sustainable Cities
- Degree educated and Chartered Engineer

- Strong understanding in an asset intensive industry i.e., Rail, Cities and buildings, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Rail, Highways and Marine/Ports
