Identify applicable hauling permit requirements based on load size, weight, route, and regulations (federal, state, local).
Research and gather necessary information for permit applications, including load details, route maps, vehicle specifications, and insurance documents.
Accurately complete and submit permit applications to the appropriate agencies, ensuring compliance with all required documentation and fees.
Communicate effectively with permitting authorities, clarify requirements, and address any inquiries promptly.
Maintain consistent communication with internal teams (dispatch, drivers) to ensure accurate information exchange and timely permit acquisition.
Permit Management:
Track permit validity periods and proactively initiate renewals before expiration.
Maintain a central repository for all permits, ensuring easy access and organization.
Notify relevant stakeholders (drivers, dispatch) of any permit restrictions or special conditions (e.g., specific routes, time limitations).
Monitor regulatory changes and update existing permits or procedures as needed.
Respond to inquiries from internal/external stakeholders regarding permit status and requirements.
Job Requirements
Work experience in Logistics
Knowledge of logistics software or transportation management systems (preferable)
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
