At Security Meter, we’re building the next generation of AI-driven cybersecurity products. Our team already includes brilliant frontend, backend, and AI engineers — now we’re looking for a Team Lead to bring it all together.
This is not your typical leadership role. We want someone who can set the technical bar, mentor top talent, and still write code hands-on. You’ll be our execution engine: turning product vision into reality across LangGraph + Python + MongoDB + Linux + Docker + React stack, with a strong focus on AI engineering and security operations.
🔑 What you’ll do
- Lead delivery: run sprints, unblock engineers, and ship impactful
- releases.
- Be a player-coach: code 30–50% of the time while mentoring 4–8 engineers.
- Architect our platform: multi-tier orchestrators, agent workflows, and high-availability design.
- Productionize LLMs & AI agents: prompt design, retrieval, evaluation, safety & observability.
- Bring a security mindset: OAuth2/OIDC, secrets managers, SIEM/SOAR integrations, incident playbooks.
- Shape engineering practices: CI/CD, logging/metrics/tracing, trunk-based dev, and on-call readiness.
- Expect to grow impact quarter by quarter — from CI/CD and first DSL playbooks (Q1), to hardened LangGraph orchestration and guardrails (Q2), to multi-tenant optimization and customer pilots (Q3).
💡 What we’re
looking for
- 7+ years software engineering, 2+ years as a tech lead or EM.
- Strong Python + React/TypeScript skills; Linux/Docker; MongoDB or similar NoSQL.
- Hands-on with LLMs/agents: prompts, retrieval, function/tool calling, production monitoring.
- Solid system design fundamentals (scale, reliability, cost).
- Excellent communication & mentoring skills.
Bonus points for: Kubernetes, Terraform/Helm, SOC/security ops background, and event-driven architectures.
