Coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth import processes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant import/export regulations, customs requirements, and documentation standards.
Lead, mentor, and supervise the importation and logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
Analyze logistics performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Resolve any issues or delays in the supply chain, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics service providers to secure favorable terms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
5-8 years of progressive experience in importation, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within the medical supplies or healthcare sector.
Proven track record of managing end-to-end import and logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
Ability to work under pressure and resolve complex supply chain challenges.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
