Better Brain Lab is a boutique content and product development firm that develops its own products alongside serving a number of select clients across the globe. We take on projects from start to finish, meaning our clients provide with huge independence and we execute all aspects of the project in-house. This is a full-time hybrid role for a creative Junior Video Editor at Better Brain Lab.
The role is based in Degla Maadi, Cairo with 4 days working from the office (10am - 6pm) and 1 day (Sundays) working from home. The Junior Video Editor will be responsible for the following
:
- Assisting in video edits, including prepping and syncing projects, initial string outs, b-roll selection & footage organization as well motion graphics and graphic design support
- Editing long and short-form content for YouTube and various social platforms
- Assist in any administrative post-production tasks, including ingesting footage & media management, packaging assembly (video thumbnails and video metadata)
Who You Are
- A recent graduate with a creative outlook and video editing experience in a professional environment. A strong understanding of current editing trends for video and graphics
- Knowledge and experience using Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator
- Knowledge of other
- applications, including Adobe Photoshop, Da Vinci Resolve are nice to have
- On-set production experience, including camera, audio, and lighting handling
- Close attention to detail and organisation skills with a clear creative outlook
The ideal candidate is a self-learner who, when challenged with something new, knows what questions to ask and how to find the answers they're looking for, appraising the validity of these answers along the way. Problem solving skills are essential for this job.
