Role Description
Wago is launching a next-generation pet care platform that brings together pet products, same-day delivery, service bookings, and e-commerce in one seamless app. As we prepare to go live, we’re hiring a hands-on, execution-focused Operations Manager to lead our ground operations across inventory, delivery, supplier coordination, and service flow.
You’ll be responsible for enforcing structure, owning day-to-day flow, and ensuring every team member is aligned and accountable. The ideal candidate is confident, operationally sharp, knows how to lead under pressure, and thrives in startup environments where excellence and speed matter.
Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day operations, warehouse setup, inventory control, and last-mile logistics
• Supervise packaging, labeling, and fulfillment for same-day delivery
• Coordinate directly with service providers (vets, groomers, walkers) to ensure booking availability, issue resolution, and operational support
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to ensure all products (Wago and third-party) are stocked, uploaded, and correctly tagged in the app
• Monitor pharmacy inventory: stock levels, expiration dates, proper storage, and accuracy
• Work closely with the development team to test and validate backend workflows (order flow, booking sync, delivery tracking)
• Support Customer Service in resolving delivery issues, late orders, or booking conflicts
• Manage supplier communications, procurement timelines, and relationship tracking
• Define and track key operational KPIs (speed, order accuracy, cost)
• Prepare and execute full-scale operations testing prior to launch day
• Ensure team readiness and workflow execution on launch day and beyond
• Lead all logistics-related planning across pharmacy, grooming, transport, and marketplace fulfillment
• Own onboarding and coordination of drivers, delivery staff, and order flow
• Enforce shift discipline, staff punctuality, and internal attendance policies
• Ensure all team members are fully trained on Wago’s products, services, and operations
• Take full ownership of delivery SLAs, partner relationships, and inventory movement
• Step in where needed to fix process gaps or delivery issues on the ground
Qualifications
• 3–5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or fulfillment
• Experience in e-commerce, delivery platforms, or service-based operations
• Strong vendor and partner management skills
• Highly organized, with attention to detail and strong follow-through
• Ability to manage and optimize fast-paced workflows with real-time pressure
• Must be comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment — where priorities shift quickly and ownership matters
• Capable of leading cross-functional execution without constant supervision
• Confident in enforcing policies and communicating feedback when needed
• Must know Wago’s product and service range by heart within the first 2 weeks
• Fluent in both Arabic and English
