Job Description
- Prepare, review, and update detailed electrical shop drawings (power, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, ELV/ICT, and low current systems) using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines in a BIM environment to resolve clashes and ensure accuracy.
- Develop and update panel schedules, load schedules, cable routing layouts, and equipment connection diagrams.
- Ensure compliance of shop drawings with project specifications, international codes/standards (IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEEE), and client requirements.
- Perform clash detection, quantity take-off (QTO), and model validation using Revit and Navisworks.
- Support senior engineers in design verification, value engineering, and technical submittals.
- Incorporate consultant/site comments into drawings and ensure timely resubmission for approvals.
- Prepare as-built drawings and update models with redline markups after site verification.
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and drafters on Revit/CAD standards and modeling best practices.
- Collaborate with the BIM team to maintain structured, updated, and well-documented models.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of proven experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the construction or engineering sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing electrical systems for large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other electrical design software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- Experience with on-site supervision and quality assurance processes.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
