About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Data Migration Specialist with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in planning, executing, and managing data migration projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders in English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and execute end-to-end data migration activities across multiple systems and platforms.
- Analyze existing data sources, assess data quality, and prepare data for migration.
- Develop and implement migration strategies, scripts, and tools for seamless transitions.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency throughout the migration process.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation before and after migration.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to align on requirements and timelines.
- Identify potential risks, troubleshoot migration issues, and provide timely resolutions.
- Document processes, create migration reports, and provide knowledge transfer to relevant teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 4–5 years in data migration, data integration, or related fields.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and database management (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of data mapping, transformation, and validation techniques.
- Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in large-scale migration projects (ERP/CRM, cloud migrations, legacy system upgrades).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data migration tools.
- Project management exposure (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall environments).
