About the location:

Soon to be one of the region’s foremost luxury beachside destinations, The Red Sea will comprise of the idyllic natural islands and lagoons across 200 kms of coastline along the western coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, between the cities of Umluj and Al Wajh. The new Four Seasons Resort will be located on Shura Island, the hub of the development and home to a yacht marina, leisure and lifestyle facilities, retail offerings, 18-hole golf course and more. The Red Sea destination is being built with sustainable practices and tourism at its core, with the masterplan being informed by an impressive marine spatial planning simulation to model the environmental impact of development and operations to minimize over-tourism while providing guests with an exceptional travel and lifestyle experience. The destination will also rely on renewable energy and will only develop a small portion of the islands with expansive dedicated conservation zones. The new Four Seasons Resort will offer approximately 149 rooms and suites, all with uninterrupted

views over white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. The property will also feature six restaurant and lounge outlets, meeting and events spaces, a marine discovery centre, Kids for All Seasons space and much more. About the Role

Join the prestigious pre-opening team of Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea, where luxury meets innovation and sustainability. As the Engineering & Sustainability Officer, you will support the Engineering Department in ensuring efficient operations while leading initiatives to reduce the resort’s environmental impact. This role combines technical expertise with a strong passion for sustainable development, ensuring compliance with Four Seasons standards and The Red Sea Development Company’s ambitious sustainability goals.

 

What You Will Do

• Support daily operations of the Engineering Department, including preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Monitor and analyze energy, water, and waste consumption, identifying opportunities for efficiency and conservation.
• Assist in implementing the resort

’s sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with global Four Seasons and Red Sea standards.
• Prepare sustainability reports, dashboards, and data tracking for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to embed sustainability practices in operations and guest services.
• Support the pre-opening setup of engineering systems and sustainability reporting tools.
• Provide training and awareness sessions for team members to promote sustainability initiatives.

Job Requirements

What You Bring

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Engineering, Facilities Management, or Sustainability—preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong knowledge of sustainability best practices, renewable energy, and environmental management systems.
• Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; knowledge of CMMS systems (e.g., HotSOS) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Fluency in English required; Arabic is an asset.
• A proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative mindset
