Role Overview
The Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in ensuring agile principles are applied effectively, enabling teams to deliver high-quality products and solutions. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will facilitate agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and help foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Act as a servant leader and coach for multiple cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to agile practices.
- Collaborate with the CTO and Product Owners to align priorities with business goals.
- Track, monitor, and report on sprint progress, team performance, and delivery timelines.
- Identify and remove blockers that hinder team productivity and delivery.
- Support the CTO in scaling agile frameworks and practices across the organization.
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and coach team members on agile values and principles.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Scrum Master in technology-driven organizations.
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles, Scrum framework, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Hands-on experience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, or equivalent) is a strong plus.
