Job Description

• To maintain and ensure availability and intended operation of float glass   by implementation of corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance plans for all the float line areas .to conceptualize, engineer and execute projects identified to increase productivity, reliability, cost reduction, quality and HSE improvements.
• Supervise the safety of personnel & machines with follow-up the execution of safety instructions & suggest the required recommendations to increase the safety in the working environment
• Operate, maintain, and improve mechanical equipments and systems
• Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of Mechanical equipments to ensure conformance to design, equipment specifications and safety standards.
• Assist in developing capital project programs for new system and major repairs
• Follow the operation and performance of the Mechanical parts in cutting line, lehr and warehouse (Hot End : Batch , Furnace & Float) (Cold End  : cutting line, lehr and warehouse)
• Maintenance cost reduction and spare part optimization.
• Preparation of preventive maintenance plan and follow up of plan realization.
• Ensuring the subordinates are capable of achieving the required jobs efficiently by means of (field training – MKT2 training (Boost Training) – fault analysis training – regular evaluations).
• Adherence to safety rules and ensuring subordinates abide to safety regulations.
• Organization of other initiatives as 5S, WCM and Root Cause analysis
• Report goals achievement and preventive maintenance status and future plans to Maintenance Manager.
• To provide support and resource for local WCM activities whilst implementing global projects, local projects, Act as project/pillar sponsor, leader, member.
• Compliance to statutory/legal Occupational Health, Environment & Safety company policies and procedures.
• Compliance with the company QMS, Quality Control, Product compliance of Saint-Gobain.

Job Requirements

• B.SC of Mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 3 years experience, preferable working in a similar industry, in the field of glass, cement, steel, ceramic, etc..
• Mechanical Skills like (Material specs, Fits and tolerance, Power transmission design, Pneumatic & Hydraulic troubleshooting, Pumps repair and troubleshooting, Mechanical Drawings understanding + 3D CAD Design).
• Good understanding of engineering drawing and Design calculation
• Good knowledge of MS office, AutoCAD (solid work are preferable)
• Good experience bearings, pneumatic and belt conveyor systems
• Fluent in written and spoken English, French will be an advantage.
