Job Description

 

• Able to supervise & manage a team of engineers & draftsmen, provide guidance, and be accountable for overall team performance.
• Preparing drawings for drafting by the CAD team a working understanding / use of Autodesk (& Revit)
• Participates in meetings (Vendor & Internal & Client), reviews progress and addresses interface/implementation/execution issues.
• Engineering planning – interprets a supplied project scope and applies applicable industry regulations and codes, standard engineering procedures, and good engineering practices, to develop a schedule and plan to execute the engineering deliverables and design reviews. Manages engineering schedule according to budget to ensure on time deliverables while maintaining schedule and cost performance. Supports the trend program to manage changes.
• Provide technical support to resolve construction and startup questions and issues.
• Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to senior project engineering management.
• Managing own workload, updating forward plan of workload regularly & working to time allocations
• Supports the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
• Team performance direction, monitoring and reporting.
• Provide technical performance report to head of Engineering.

Job Requirements

• At least 14 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering
• Proficiency in Revit, 3D CADD
• Thorough understanding of the roles played by other engineering disciplines and departments on projects, and their interfaces with the Architectural team, including construction practices and the economics involved.
• Knowledge and understanding of commercial aspects and procurement strategy of Architectural systems.
• Thorough understanding of Engineering planning and control methods.
• Able to work in project groups with shared-work teams globally, to progress project deliverables.
• Have a detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards
• Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with client is essential.
