Role Purpose

The Network Assistant Manager plays a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of Americana Restaurants’ IT and network infrastructure across all business units. This position safeguards business continuity through proactive network management, system optimization, and reliable connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage Firewall technologies, including Firewall Policy, Web Filtering, Application Control, IPSEC, SSLVPN, and SD-WAN configurations.
  • Oversee routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLANs) and ensure secure wireless and MPLS network environments.
  • Manage Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Print Server, WSUS, and WDS roles.
  • Administer and optimize virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V (including Paravirtualization) and VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter).
  • Ensure data protection and disaster recovery through effective Veeam Backup Systems management.
  • Manage server hardware operations using tools like ILO, IDRAC, and HP Blade Servers.
  • Support and maintain CCTV systems using Hik Central for surveillance infrastructure.
  • Collaborate on cloud initiatives, particularly within Microsoft Azure AD, Entra ID, and Office 365 ecosystems.
  • Utilize monitoring and ticketing solutions (e.g., Site24x7, Manage Engine) to proactively identify, escalate, and resolve issues.
  • Adhere to ITIL service management principles, ensuring structured processes for incident, problem, and change management.
  • Continuously evaluate, recommend, and implement network enhancements to improve performance, resilience, and scalability.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6–8 years of experience in network administration, engineering, or IT infrastructure management.
  • Proven expertise across enterprise-grade networks, virtualization, security, and backup environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, JUNOS, and Microsoft technologies.
