We are looking for a highly motivated Accounting Specialist in our Global Accounting Team who will mainly support Middle East and Asia Pacific Area.
We expect the candidate to be fully responsible for the accounting operations of entities in the Area, including monthly accounting close and reconciliation process, review and approval of necessary contract, purchase order and payments, annual audit execution, communication with external parties including banks and tax authorities.
The position is based in Cairo and reports to Accounting Manager based in Beijing. We expect the candidate to work independently with various stakeholders around the world.
In this role you will be...
- Oversee and manage the monthly accounting close, complete reconciliations and BS review monthly.
- Work as a liaison with the external auditors to coordinate the audit and keep the audit on track, to accomplish annual statutory auditing independently on time.
- Review reimbursement and payment request, ensuring the timely processing of AP payments and correctly identifying GL account for all financial activities.
- Open, close, and maintain bank accounts; reconcile bank statements; and resolve any discrepancies.
- Partner with tax team, help confirming documents and reply tax queries with confirmation from tax team, and keep the local tax documentation in accordance with regulations.
- The role involves constant adaptation to new demands and priorities, handle unplanned, spontaneous, and specific-purpose tasks as assigned.
【Qualification】
- Bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of 5 years accounting or audit experience, as well as basic experience in treasury, payment and tax compliance operations.
- Be familiar with Egyptian invoice compliance requirements and the corresponding tax rule.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and Egypt EAS.
- Conversant in English in both writing and speaking.
- Conversant with Microsoft Office is a must and working knowledge of Oracle is a plus.
- Hands-on, detail orientation, able to work independently in a fast-paced and multi-task environment and deliver within tight deadlines.
