The successful candidate will focus on two key missions:
- Field certification – supporting customers through the Guardian certification process for processing coated products.
- Product development and validation support – supporting our Product Management and Glass Technology & Development Teams on the smooth implementation of Guardian Egypt’s coated products.
Our Team
As part of our growing technical organization in the AME region, we are seeking a Field Service Engineer based near our plant in Cairo, Egypt. This position will strengthen our local presence and enhance support for our customers in Africa and Southeastern Europe, mainly Turkey.
What You Will Do
- Support and on-board customers, mainly, in Africa and Turkey, through the certification process for processing Guardian HVA products.
- Conduct audits of customer processing lines (tempering, lamination, IGU assembly) and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with Guardian’s and relevant standards.
- Prepare audit reports, define corrective actions, and follow up to closure.
- Deliver hands-on support and troubleshooting during audits, training, or product testing trials.
- Provide full product application support to our Product Development and Glass Technology & Development teams to facilitate future product development and assist in any product investigations or assessments in the field.
- Collaborate with other Guardian Capabilities to align and drive customer success and key projects’ follow-up till completion.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with selected key processors and indirect customers.
- Provide training courses, presentations, advice or recommendations on technical matters to key external and internal customers.
- Provide support to Guardian Quality Team, if required, primarily in cases where deeper knowledge of glass processing and application is necessary.
- Ensure that any change in the applicable laws and legislation for the role is identified and actions taken to acquire the appropriate knowledge.
- Represent Guardian in associations and committees as necessary.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Engineering degrees (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or related).
- Fluent in Turkish and English.
- 5+ years of experience in technical, production, or quality roles in the glass or building materials industry.
- Strong technical understanding of glass processing and coating is a plus.
- Hands-on, proactive, and customer oriented.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a regional team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Africa and Turkey.

Turkish speaker with Engineering background within a Manufacturing environment.
Driver’s license for passenger car.
