Job Description
- Develop and manage BIM models for plumbing and firefighting systems in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate plumbing and fire protection systems within overall BIM models.
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, layouts, and schematics for plumbing and firefighting installations.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts between plumbing, firefighting, and other building systems using BIM tools.
- Ensure all BIM deliverables comply with project specifications, codes, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with design engineers to optimize system layouts for constructability and efficiency.
- Update and maintain BIM models throughout project lifecycle, reflecting design changes and as-built conditions.
- Support project managers and site teams by providing accurate BIM data and documentation.
- Participate in coordination meetings and present BIM models to stakeholders as needed.
- Stay current with advancements in BIM technology and best practices for plumbing and firefighting systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in BIM modeling for plumbing and firefighting systems.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of plumbing and fire protection system design and installation.
- Experience with clash detection and resolution in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NFPA, IPC, local regulations).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience working in an office-based environment.
