Our fintech business now generates more revenue than e-commerce, with over $180 million in sales last year. Following our merger with Wasoko, we're expanding across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Role Objectives:
Commercial Director to lead the full commercial agenda driving revenue, margin, and category performance across B2B channels. This role owns supplier partnerships, pricing, assortment, and commercial excellence. Experience in FMCG, distribution, or high-growth eCommerce is a must.
What You’ll Do :
- Lead the commercial strategy across B2B channels.
- Manage suppliers and negotiate terms, pricing, and trade investments.
- Oversee category management—assortment, pricing, and profitability.
- Build and scale sales, account management, acquisition, and category teams.
- Develop annual growth plans including pricing and promotions.
- Own commercial KPIs: Topline, GM, CM1/2/3, availability & performance.
- Ensure full alignment with operations, finance, planning, and product.
- Drive data-led decision making—dashboards, forecasting & performance reviews.
- Drive co-marketing and joint business plans with suppliers, including campaign planning, trade marketing, and investment optimization.

What We’re Looking For :
- 10+ years in commercial, category, business development, or sales leadership.
- Strong FMCG, B2B distribution, or eCommerce background.
- Proven P&L ownership, supplier negotiations, pricing, and assortment leadership.
- Experience leading multi-functional commercial teams.
- Solid understanding of supply chain alignment with commercial planning.
- Comfortable in high-volume, fast-paced environm
