Job Description

  • Accurately process sales transactions using the point of sale (POS) system.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments while ensuring proper change is given.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and addressing their inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area at all times.
  • Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, reporting discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist with stocking shelves and replenishing merchandise as required.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and loss prevention.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
  • Resolve customer complaints or escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Support promotional activities and upsell products to enhance customer experience.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in a cashier or similar customer-facing role.
  • Strong numerical and cash handling skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer operations.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
