Strategic Procurement of Components (Revised Focus):

• Lead the sourcing and purchasing of all specialized production components, including metal, electrical units, cables, wheels, rubber parts, and various fittings.
• Focus on high-value, high-risk components to mitigate potential supply disruptions and price volatility.
• Manage supplier relations (local and international), negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with quality and technical specifications.

Inventory Management and Planning (Focus on Internal Flow):

• Oversee warehouse and inventory control for all components and raw materials to minimize carrying costs and eliminate production stoppages due to shortages.
• Develop and implement accurate Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and ensure efficient material delivery to the production floor.

Supplier Quality and Risk Management:

• Collaborate closely with the Quality team to audit suppliers and ensure that all incoming components meet Univest’s standards before being accepted into stock.
• Identify risks related to component obsolescence or single-source dependency and develop mitigation strategies.

Cost and Efficiency Improvement:

• Continuously seek opportunities to reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) for components through value engineering and strategic sourcing.
