Job Description: Accounting Manager – Egypt

The Accounting Manager oversees and manages the financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency across all accounting activities. The role involves leading the accounting team, maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring that all financial records comply with Egyptian accounting standards, tax regulations and company policies. The Accounting Manager also provides financial insights to support decision-making and contributes to budgeting and forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Operations & Reporting
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports in line with

• Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS) and IFRS.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Compliance & Audit
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax laws, including VAT, income tax, WHT and social insurance regulations.
• Prepare and submit timely tax filings and coordinate with tax advisors when needed.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and ensuring adherence to control requirements.
• Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Team Leadership & Coordination
• Lead, mentor and support the accounting team to ensure high performance and accuracy.
• Develop accounting procedures and policies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments (HR, Procurement, Operations and Finance) to support business

• activities.
• Budgeting & Analysis
• Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and present recommendations to senior management.
• Monitor expenditures and support cost-control initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA, CMA or IFRS certification is a plus).
• 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations, EAS and IFRS.
• Experience using accounting software (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks or similar).
• Excellent analytical, organizational and leadership skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
