Maintenance Manager

Seti Abu Simbel Lake Resort is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the technical and engineering operations of our resort during an important phase of consolidation and development.
This role is critical to ensuring that all facilities, guest areas, and back-of-house operations meet international hospitality standards while supporting ongoing upgrades and preventive maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all maintenance, engineering, and technical operations across the resort
• Implement and monitor a structured preventive maintenance plan for rooms, public areas, and technical systems
• Supervise and train the maintenance team, ensuring efficiency, discipline, and safety compliance
• Coordinate corrective maintenance and urgent repairs with minimal disruption to guests
• Manage external contractors and suppliers for specialized works and renovations
• Monitor utilities (electricity, water, HVAC) and optimize consumption and cost control
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations
• Work closely with the General Manager and department heads to support operational priorities and renovation projects
Candidate Profile
• Proven experience as Maintenance Manager or Chief Engineer in a hotel or resort environment
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
• Hands-on leadership style with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a remote location and manage operations independently
• Experience with preventive maintenance systems and reporting
• Hospitality mindset with attention to guest impact and service quality
