Imperium is seeking an experienced MEP Manager – Design to lead and coordinate our back-office MEP design operations in Egypt, supporting projects across the UAE and region.
Role Overview
The MEP Manager – Design will be responsible for managing the full MEP design process, ensuring high-quality deliverables, coordination across disciplines, and compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards. This role is office-based and focused on design leadership, review, and coordination, not site execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage MEP design teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).
- Review and approve MEP design drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Ensure full coordination between MEP, Architectural, and Structural disciplines.
- Establish and enforce design standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Support project teams during concept, schematic, and detailed design stages.
- Coordinate with UAE-based teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
- Conduct technical reviews, value engineering, and design optimizations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Manage workloads, deadlines, and performance of the back-office design team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in MEP design, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong background in consultancy or design office environments.
- Proven experience delivering UAE or GCC projects is a strong advantage.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Proficient in relevant design software and standards.
