Job Description
- Lead and manage the production engineering team to achieve operational targets and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality assurance, and production to ensure seamless workflow integration.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of production equipment and technology.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify bottlenecks, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Establish and enforce safety protocols and compliance with industry regulations.
- Drive lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
- Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of innovation and professional growth.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for engineering projects.
- Report on production engineering performance to senior management and recommend strategic improvements.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in production engineering or manufacturing management within a relevant industry.
- Proven track record in leading engineering teams and managing large-scale production operations.
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices.
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex production challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with production management software and data analysis tools.
