Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: +5 years in the design of pumping stations, pipelines, tanks, treatment plants, and related infrastructure.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the design of Water & Wastewater Infrastructure projects, including pumping stations, treatment plants, and piping networks.

Responsibilities

· +7 years of experience in the Design of potable water, wastewater, irrigation, sewage, and stormwater pumping stations.

· Mechanical design for treatment facilities, including STP, RO desalination, WTP, and chemical dosing systems (e.g., hypochlorination).

· Develop piping layouts, GA drawings, isometrics, sections, valve chamber drawings, and material take-off lists.

· Design piping systems with various materials (CS, DI, HDPE, GRE, etc.) and perform valve selection.

· Perform mechanical and hydraulic calculations: pipe thickness, pump head, NPSH, pressure drop, tank sizing, and wet well sizing.

· Conduct piping stress analysis.

· Prepare design basis documents, design reports, and piping material specifications.

· Review shop drawings, vendor data sheets, design calculations, and material submittals.

· Coordinate with CAD designers, BIM modelers, and other disciplines to ensure complete design integration.

· Resolve technical issues and support design development throughout the project.

· Ensure compliance with international design codes (ASME, API, BS, DIN).

Required Skills

· Strong background in mechanical design for infrastructure and treatment plant projects.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination workflows.

· Good knowledge of safety and environmental considerations in mechanical design.

· Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

· Ability to deliver engineering tasks within schedule and budget constraints.
