Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Commercial Manager, based in Cairo, Egypt. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial and commercial functions of construction projects, ensuring compliance with company objectives. Key responsibilities include managing contracts, budgeting, cost controls, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, and leading a team to deliver project efficiency and profitability. The role also involves closely collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.


About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Commercial Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role focuses on managing contracts, cost estimation, budgeting, and tendering processes for large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering with expertise in commercial project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.


Key Responsibilities






Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.




Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment to support project planning and budgeting.




Budget Management: Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.




Tendering Process: Lead the preparation and submission of tenders, including detailed proposals, bid documents, and technical submissions.




Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to align project objectives and deliverables.




Risk Assessment: Identify potential financial and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.




Compliance: Ensure all project activities adhere to local regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations.




Reporting: Provide regular updates on project costs, progress, and contractual milestones to stakeholders.
