Responsibilities
- Lead with impact, Oversee daily procurement activities (70%) and shape strategic sourcing initiatives (30%) to enhance plant reliability and reduce total cost of ownership.
- Secure the critical, Strategically source high-value and essential materials such as cement dispatch bags, explosives, refractory bricks, grinding media, and mill gearboxes.
- Negotiate for advantage, Finalize annual contracts for recurring consumables, achieving favorable terms while ensuring security of supply.
- Enable decision-making, Deliver data-driven insights through KPI tracking, spend analysis, and performance reporting.
- Champion sustainability, Integrate Circular Economy practices into procurement to drive environmental and resource efficiency.
- Strengthen partnerships, Build and manage a high-performing supplier base, ensuring quality, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Develop capability, Coach and evaluate a team of procurement professionals, aligning objectives with departmental and corporate goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years' procurement experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Proven ability to design and execute procurement strategies that balance operational needs with long-term objectives.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and risk management skills.
- Proficiency in e-procurement systems and contract management.
- Knowledge of cement manufacturing is an asset.
