• Plan, lead, and manage all formulation development activities in alignment with the company’s product pipeline and business objectives.
• Supervise and guide formulation pharmacists and research specialists, ensuring effective workload distribution, performance monitoring, and professional development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Regulatory, and Marketing) to ensure smooth project execution and product launches.
• Develop and implement departmental plans, timelines, and performance KPIs to ensure the timely delivery of projects.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the formulation function, focusing on efficiency, quality, and product competitiveness.
• Oversee the preparation and review of Master Batch Records (MBR), including product composition, manufacturing instructions, and process parameters.
• Supervise the development and optimization of formulations for new and existing products based on stability studies, production feedback, and market requirements.
• Lead feasibility and scale-up studies to ensure successful technology transfer to production.
• Approve and ensure timely submission of formulation data and related technical documentation to the Registration Department in compliance with MOH regulations.
• Coordinate with the Regulatory Affairs team to address technical inquiries and implement required modifications.
• Lead comparative and equivalence studies in cases of formulation modification, new supplier qualification, or product re-registration.
• Identify areas for process optimization and product enhancement, ensuring alignment with corporate quality and performance standards.
• Mentor and develop team members by providing technical and managerial coaching to enhance capabilities and performance.
