On behalf of a leading pharmaceutical company focused on developing high-quality healthcare solutions, we are seeking a Research and Development (R&D) Manager to lead product innovation and drive scientific excellence. This is a full-time remote opportunity, open to candidates currently based in Egypt and available to start immediately.
About the Role
As an R&D Manager, you will be responsible for leading the research, formulation, and development of new pharmaceutical products from concept to market launch. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing—to ensure products meet safety, efficacy, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage R&D activities related to formulation, process development, and product improvement.
- Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with GMP, GLP, and regulatory standards.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets to align with company objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transfer of new products to production.
- Stay updated with scientific advancements, technologies, and regulatory changes impacting pharmaceutical development.
- Evaluate raw materials, technologies, and suppliers to support new product pipelines.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and regulatory submissions as required.
- Mentor and guide R&D staff to foster professional growth and technical expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred).
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of formulation development, analytical methods, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in product lifecycle management—from concept through commercialization.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work remotely while managing cross-functional collaboration effectively.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
